| Course description | The course is offered as a block course and combines the lecture (261038-D530) and the tutorial (261038-D531). The course presents a review of different concepts and theories related to knowledge management (KM), in-depth knowledge of the development towards a knowledge society, and knowledge processes in organizations. The course includes knowledge management theories and models, KM design, KM informatics, tools and technologies for managing knowledge, and an overview of key issues in KM. Topics include how knowledge is created, shared, transferred, integrated, and absorbed so as to fully leverage the intellectual assets of a firm. In addition, knowledge management system design and knowledge innovation are also discussed. The course requires that students develop a foreseen sight on the topic of knowledge management. | |
